On Friday, Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation gathered at Eli Lilly's headquarters for our final "State of Health" class day, where we focused on a case study about Purdue University's 2020 pandemic response. We also had the privilege of hearing from Mike Bolinder of BioCrossroads and Daniel Hardesty of the Indiana Rural Health Association, who shared insights on healthcare innovation and the future of health in Indiana. A big thank you to Eli Lilly and Company, Katarina Nikolovski , Kelsey Cook , and Lauren (Petersen) James for their warm Hoosier hospitality!

On Friday, Class VII Fellows met for their final "State of Health" class day focused on a new COVID Response at Purdue University Case Study at Eli Lilly and Company. Our case study panel included Case Study author Neil Pickett, Purdue's Vice President for Health Affairs?Eric Barker, Purdue's Association VP of Physical Facilities and Public Safety Ryan Gallagher, and 2020 Purdue Student Katarina Nikolovski (Class VII Fellow). The Fellows then heard from Mike Bolinder from BioCrossroads and Daniel Hardesty from the IRHA Indiana Rural Health Association about innovation in healthcare and the future of health in Indiana. The group toured Eli Lilly and Company and presented group case study prompts about what a path to a stronger, healthier Indiana might look like.

One year in the Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation ?? A year of learning, growing, and connecting with the brightest and most passionate minds across Indiana. What better way to celebrate our final healthcare class day and mark this milestone than by hosting our group at Lilly! ? It was an honor learning about leadership through the pandemic at Purdue and serving on a panel with Eric Barker, Dean of Pharmacy and Vice President of Health Affairs, Ryan Gallagher, Purdue Associate VP of for Facilities Operations & Environmental Health and Safety, and Neil Pickett, CEO & Founder - NCP Consulting, LLC. We learned about Innovation in Healthcare from Mike Bolinder, CEO & President - BioCrossroads, and Daniel Hardesty, Director of Government Affairs -IN Rural Health Association. Then our group participated in a healthcare case study and won the project! Anne Bowen, MBA, Wes Craig, and Arion Clanton. ? One week ago, I graduated from the two-year Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation! I am immensely grateful to Lauren (Petersen) James, Kelsey Cook, and Erin Lucas for making this Fellowship a profoundly rewarding experience. They continue to ensure that Mitch’s legacy of “aiming higher” is carried forward with honor and integrity in Indiana.
