Wildfires remain a persistent challenge across the United States. Our team has been awarded a 2-year, $1.75M Air Force contract to deliver situational awareness software that enhances military response to wildfires. This program, in partnership with MIT Mission Innovation X, will help improve coordination, decision-making, and safety for units operating in wildfire-prone areas.

MIx deploys a variety of mission innovation programs to support these aims, including grants and partnerships, fellowships, sponsored research, and experiential learning activities.

Year 2 of our collaboration with NATO DIANA and I get the honor of teaching the "Intro to Dual Use" class again for a MUCH larger cohort this year. One of our superstar Phase 2 STTRs this cycle!
We are proud to announce our collaboration with the United States Air Force Test Pilot School (TPS), a flight test education and training center located at Edwards Air Force Base in California. Nominal,?along with our partner MIT Mission Innovation X,?was selected by AFWERX for a?STTR?Phase II contract earlier this year and has been hard at work supporting Air Force test pilots,?navigators,?and engineers. Our collaboration with TPS will support their mission of?training top USAF talent to flight test the most advanced air and space systems in the DoD by integrating more rapid analytic techniques into students’ training and continuously validating TPS test instrumentation.
