I’m thrilled to share that I have the opportunity to assist in person to the MIT Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS) and received my certification for the Micromaster of Statistics and Data Science! This was an amazing opportunity for my life, as I had the opportunity to visit MIT Professional Education, see the different laboratories around campus and recieve lectures from multiple renowned profesors ??. I feel extremely grateful to Susana Kevorkova, Karene Chu, Fotini Christia and all the inspiring speakers who made this event a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And most importantly, I am deeply grateful to BREIT (Advanced Program in Data Science & Global Skills), Ivo Saona, Lucia Haro Gonzales and Maria Alejandra Burgos Guerrero not only for organizing this visit, but for giving me the opportunity to engage in the program. Without your support, I may not have been able to pursue my goal of becoming a Data Scientist, and I’m certain the rest of the students feel the same way. #BREIT #MITIDSS #DataScience #AI

An unforgettable experience: This past February, I had the honor of being invited by the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS) at MIT to join an intensive two-day program with students, professors, and researchers. One of the most meaningful moments for me was receiving my MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science certification directly at MIT. After years of hard work and dedication, being recognized in person at such an iconic place was a powerful reminder of why I started this journey to use data and AI to create real, positive impact. Another highlight was having the chance to personally meet Professor John Tsitsiklis, a leading figure in systems and control theory, whose work has deeply influenced my understanding of complex systems. Some of the key reflections I take with me: ?? Caroline Uhler's insights on AI and healthcare, and the ethical use of data for scientific discovery. ?? Tamara Broderick's perspective on managing uncertainty in AI models — a reminder that behind every algorithm, there are human decisions. ?? Michiel Bakker’s thoughtful reflections on LLMs, fairness, and correctness — bridging technical innovation and ethics. ?? Broader discussions on how policy, economics, and engineering must work together to drive meaningful societal change. ?? And deep conversations with fellow students, imagining how Data Science can go beyond models to create real-world impact. I left MIT not only with new ideas but with a deep sense of responsibility: the true power of AI and data lies in how we choose to apply them, and the values we embed in that process. This journey has been shaped by perseverance, effort, and a passion for data. It has been both challenging and enriching, allowing me to apply the knowledge I gained throughout my academic and professional experience. This recognition is not only a milestone in my career but also a reminder that when we set clear goals and develop effective strategies, results follow.
