J-WAFS is celebrating our 10th anniversary this spring! One of the pieces we are using to highlight J-WAFS’ impact is on MIT EECS Professor Sara Beery. The article highlights Professor Beery’s J-WAFS Seed Grant project, which aims to streamline salmon monitoring systems in the Pacific Northwest United States using cutting-edge computer vision methods. “The fact that the J-WAFS seed grant existed here at MIT enabled us to continue to work on this project when we moved here…it also expanded the scope of the project and allowed us to maintain active collaboration on what I think is a really important and impactful project.” – Sara Beery.
