Our Global Seed Funds program supports a diverse range of projects, including the Anthro-Engineering Decarbonization at the Million-Person Scale! In 2021, MIT professors Michael Short and Manduhai Buyandelger teamed up to create a prototype a molten salt heat bank in Mongolia. They soon launched Anthro-Engineering Decarbonization at the Million-Person Scale to demonstrate the heat bank's potential as a scalable clean heat source in challenging sites around the world.? Learn more about research by affiliated faculty of the MIT Climate Policy Center. ??#climate
The Climate Policy Center is a non-partisan, evidence-based organization focused on helping climate stakeholders in the U.S. and abroad. This interesting take from our affiliated faculty member John Sterman last year was a research-based opinion commentary on an important European Union decision to correct "a historic mistake on wood burning."
Dear EU, the science is clear: burning wood for energy is bad

Great article on climate by Christopher Knittel ??
Faculty Director Christopher Knittel was featured as the The New York Times took a look at fossil fuels companies retreating from commitments in clean energy as global leaders meet for #COP29 “If we want to combat climate change, we need to make it in the firms’ and consumers’ self-interest to produce and buy the low-carbon alternatives,” said Christopher Knittel, a professor of energy economics Massachusetts Institute of Technology https://lnkd.in/ePzx9pFg
