Pictured: Arthur Lewbel ’78, PhD ’84 and David Rush ’07 of MIT’s Juggling Club. The pair hold a Guinness World Record for the most consecutive side-by-side juggling catches by a team of two. In most partner juggling, the partners face each other; their feat involved passing balls back and forth while standing shoulder to shoulder. “We actu?ally set it twice,” says Lewbel. “Someone broke it, so we had to break it again. Rush came by MIT, and we spent one club session trying until we got it.” The pair’s record stands at 914. I’m excited to announce that next month I’ll be hopping on a plane from Tokyo to Boston to speak at my alma mater for the MIT Women’s Conference! Join me on March 28th as I share about my work operating lunar lander missions at ispace, inc. and the most recent launch of the RESILIENCE lander in January of this year. I also will talk about the importance of inspiring young students to be among the next generation of aerospace engineers. It’s going to be a great time! So what is this conference all about? ?The MIT Women’s Conference will offer valuable opportunities to learn and connect with fellow MIT alumnae at the forefront of issues we’re all thinking about—from advances in human health and climate action to the future of AI and of course, space exploration.??The event will be a great way to gain actionable guidance for advancing our own careers encouraged by fellow MIT alumnae at different stages in their own professional journeys. I personally cannot wait to be back on campus for this event! Thank you to the MIT Alumni Association for inviting me. Join me by registering here:?https://bit.ly/3CMm0e5
