KindKite Founder: Janet Liu KindKite streamlines corporate giving and data-driven impact marketing. Our AI-powered platform makes supporting local nonprofits as easy and measurable as running a digital ad campaign. For companies, we offer a new channel to boost brand visibility while driving social impact. For nonprofits, we eliminate endless grant applications with smart matching. Founded by MIT sisters with experience in both nonprofit and corporate worlds, KindKite is proving that local impact can drive business value. ClarityAir Founder: Aniket Patankar Air pollution reduces average life expectancy in India by 6 years, and disproportionately affects school-going children. Despite growing awareness, traditional air purifiers are not common in India due to their high total cost of ownership. ClarityAir changes that with our innovative ElectroVent system, which at half the cost, delivers both pure air and ventilation to classrooms. We have engaged with more than 20 schools in Delhi and Mumbai, and are currently building an MVP. Tempestas Energy Founder: Daniel Agudelo We have developed an AI-driven software solution at MIT that can automatically adjust the temperature setpoints of HVAC systems across entire multi-zone commercial buildings reducing energy costs and carbon emissions. Our product can be deployed through building management systems and requires minimal hardware/sensor installations. We launched our first pilot in an MIT building, successfully reducing the energy consumption of the HVAC system between 35%-40%.

Using SOTA AIGC tech, we generate personalized content ideas, hooks, storyboards, and scripts based on viral trends, cutting production time from weeks to hours and optimizing 80%+ of the process. Since launching in May, we've gained 250+ paying customers. RealtorRobo Founder - Justin Gelwicks 9% of Americans elect not to use a real estate agent, a number expected to 3-4x for buyers in the next decade due to the NAR deal. Our AI platform bridges the gap between paying tens of thousands for an agent and spending hours reviewing over 180 pages of complex contracts. It allows users to upload all documents in one place, receive simplified explanations of problematic clauses, and make suggested edits seamlessly, empowering the average joe to understand and negotiate real estate contracts. harmONIC Founder - Arjun Melwani Over a fifth of the world struggles with nicotine addiction, yet traditional therapies, including patches, gums, and inhalers, succeed less than 8% of the time outside clinical settings. Our reimagined nicotine patch, harmONIC, can curb cravings by intelligently adjusting nicotine dosage. Forging cutting-edge computation and biology with day-to-day stress, sleep, and exercise measurements, harmONIC helps users quit effectively without relying on self-regulation.

Last night, I had the privilege of judging at the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition a a legendary contest in the start up world, and an accolade these young founders can carry as a badge of honor as they grow their businesses. Each pitch we saw was world changing: from climate tech, diagnostics, energy efficiency, antibody therapies, revolutionary medical devices, and even policy and justice innovations. The ideas that emerge out of the community at @MIT will forever astound me. I wish we could have awarded every start up a prize - but luckily the field had two winners.
