Missouri employers: New paid sick leave requirements are coming fast. Are you ready? Beginning May 1, 2025, most private employers will be required to provide paid sick leave under Missouri’s Proposition A. While certain businesses and collective bargaining agreements (in place before November 5, 2024) are exempt, all other employers must prepare now. Key deadlines: ?? Written notice to employees due by April 15, 2025 ?? Workplace posters outlining employee rights must also be displayed by April 15, 2025 Despite ongoing litigation and repeal efforts, compliance remains mandatory — employers are encouraged to begin preparations now. ??
