MPUA is looking for a dynamic and skilled individual to lead our generation engineering and project management services as our next Director - Generating Assets. ?? Position Overview: This key role within our Engineering Group involves overseeing MPUA's major power plant projects, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth operation of our generation facilities. The Director will report directly to the Chief Energy Officer and play a crucial role in shaping the future of energy in Missouri. ?? Salary Range: $159,069 - $238,604 ??? Key Responsibilities: -Monitor and report on the progress of major generation projects. -Familiarize with participation and partnership agreements. -Communicate project statuses to senior management, President & CEO, and board members. -Review and analyze operating data, ensuring MPUA’s interests are protected. -Assist in forecasting rate impacts and budget reports. -Participate in root cause failure analysis and complete relevant studies. -Provide technical advice to members regarding their generation needs. -Coordinate operations and maintenance activities. ?? Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (equivalent experience considered). -Professional engineer registration in Missouri is a plus. -5-10 years of progressive experience in electric generation projects and utility systems. -3-5 years of project management experience in the utility industry. -Valid state driver’s license. -Advanced computer and analytical skills. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Ability to travel and work independently.
