Today was bittersweet as I wrapped up my time as the 2024 URMIA Annual Conference Chair with our final chair call to debrief and share lessons learned with the 2025 URMIA Annual Conference chairs. The feedback from this year’s conference was outstanding, and it’s rewarding to see the hard work of our Annual Conference Committee truly appreciated. I can’t thank our incredible URMIA - University Risk Management & Insurance Association 2024 Conference Committee and the URMIA staff enough for bringing together over 1,100 of our peers and colleagues in New Orleans! A special thanks to our committee's vice chairs, Chauncey Fagler, Keesha Trim, and Paul Fox. I’m excited to pass the torch to Juan Azcarate III as next year’s Conference Chair and the rest of the 2025 Annual Conference Committee. So, save the date to join us in Las Vegas for another great conference, October 12-16, 2025, #URMIA2025. Call for sessions is now live. P.S. One of my takeaways from this year’s conference experience was to stay engaged with our communities in person and online. With that, be sure to follow our new Office of Compliance and Risk Management at Mississippi State University page to join the discussions on #RiskManagement, #Compliance, and #Safety!
