Providing beds and showers for first responders and volunteer organizations to help communities recover from disaster.
关于我们
Our Mission: Missions On Wheels is dedicated to providing self-contained, trailer-based mission team support equipment to enable non-profit and government organizations to better serve those in need in their communities. We are a non-proselytizing, faith based 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity supported by corporate grants and sponsorships, local churches, other non-profit organizations, and individuals who share our servants' hearts for helping anyone in their time of need without regard to their walk of life. Our faith, we hope, is reflected in our passion for serving and our dedication to supporting anyone in their time of need. Our Goal: Our goal is to partner with local churches, church conferences, non-profit organizations, and state and local governments in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, and Alabama to support their humanitarian relief needs as soon we are called and to stay on-site as long as the mission requires. "Self Contained, Self Sufficient, NEVER Self Deployed" How We're Funded: We are funded through corporate grants and sponsorships, donations from individuals and local church congregations. We have no paid staff but do employee contract labor for multi-week deployments. All contributed funds are used for equipment acquisition, construction and monthly operating expenses.

We've opted to use a telehandler instead of a forklift to support our heavy-lifting needs at Missions Ranch. A rough-terrain forklift is about the same money but the telehandler can change attachments, which makes it much more versatile. Grapple bucket (for moving trees and debris), trailer spotter (to quickly move trailers around the ranch), personnel work platforms, auger, and a universal skid steer adapter for any other attachments. Our funding need for the telehandler is currently $15,000 for a good used, low-hours unit and delivery. https://lnkd.in/gCgpMsCD

It is always a pleasant surprise when a donation of any size comes through an unexpected channel. As a small operation, we tend to get lost in the crowded arena among all the other worthy NPOs with bigger budgets. I know, you need to spend money to make money, but we have learned that our niche is not advertising. If you don't know who we are or why we do what we do, what motivates you to care enough to give? Today we received a new gift via Great NonProfits. Someone took the time to do their diligence and check us out, verify who we are, and click "donate". Someone somewhere shared a story about working with us and it made a connection. If you have a story to share, we would love to hear it! As I am finalizing our first-ever Impact Report, I want to include meaningful content from people we have met and served with along the way. Drop a note here, or email [email protected] with your story! ??

People like this are the backbone of response and recovery. They are the reason we go above and beyond to make sure our shower trailers can provide a clean hot shower at the end of a long and dirty day. They deserve to sleep on something better than a cot or a gym floor and that is why our dorm trailers have real mattresses. We provide the resources to make it possible for these heroes to keep going day after day. Consider joining the cause! #MissionsOnWheels #ShowerTrailer #DormTrailer #LaundryTrailer #DisasterRelief
#MissionMuckOut Observing the damage from Hurricanes #Helene and #Milton, I've been reflecting on community resilience and Team Rubicon's response efforts that are fueled by our donors. Our veterans and first responders are stepping up from FL to NC, but they need your support more than ever. So, we are launching #MissionMuckOut to rally our community during this crucial period. Mucking out means removing mud, muck, and wet debris from homes affected by floods or hurricanes, a vital step before reconstruction or repairs. #MissionMuckOut aims to highlight the tough work needed to aid thousands displaced by water damage. This no-cost service by Team Rubicon started shortly after Helene landfall and will continue for months. I urge our supporters and partners to inspire others to follow and donate. Contributions will empower our teams and help those affected. If you believe in Team Rubicon's mission, comment below, inspire others, and fuel our missions. Join us in creating a wave of generosity! I challenge each of you to tag and inspire at least two social impact leaders in your network to donate and spread the word. Together, we can amplify our efforts and make a significant difference. If you’d like to donate to or learn more about our response efforts, please email [email protected]. #TeamRubicon #HurricaneRelief #Helene #Milton #DisasterResponse #Philanthropy #CSR #SocialImpact #Marketing #Advertising Jeff Terry, Erin I., Wayne Peacock, Flynn Burch, Randy Termeer, Terry Dolan, Kristen Ensor, Heather Prill, Sean Vissar, Jake Wood, Joe Marchese, Leslie Jones

We have been hyper-focused on #HurricaneMilton and #HurricaneHelene for the past few weeks. In preparation for (Milton), we worked with our partners in?#SWFL?to coordinate evacuating trailers from Port Charlotte and Fort Myers. These trailers have been supporting long-term recovery volunteers since #HurricaneIan (2022) and will continue to provide beds and showers until those operations wind down in Q1 2025. A huge Thank You to Mennonite Disaster Service, Inspiritus, The Florida Conference of The United Methodist Church, Anthem Church - Fort Myers, Wintergarden Presbyterian Church, and Fellowship Church in Immokalee, FL for finding space for 15 trailers!

Hurricane Helene update: As of Sunday afternoon, we have deployed one shower trailer to Suwanee County, FL and we are preparing to deploy ShowerTrailer-5 and?LaundryTrailer-2 to?North Carolina. Operations are expected to last beyond 90 days and we are tentatively planning to be in the Ashville, Waynesville, or Cherokee areas. Your support is vital to getting us there, setting and sustaining operations, and getting home. The cost of delivery averages between $4500 - $5000 per trailer, round trip. As part of our mission, we do not charge non-profit partner organizations utilizing the trailers when donations offset those delivery costs.??Please consider providing shower and laundry support for impacted communities. This will be our 4th disaster response in 2024, with the potential for another major storm that could impact Texas, Louisiana, and Florida already developing in the Gulf.

Finally, 14 years later, we are getting back to what we thought we were going to do. That said, disasters continue to keep us extremely busy, but we're honored to be supporting homeless outreach as well. https://lnkd.in/gqis4dRW
