We welcome Dr Allieu Kamara back into the country. He is an orthopaedic surgeon who has been away to Rabat Morocco on a one-and-a-half year additional training in Neurosurgery (Neurotrauma & Spine). His training was completed through the active supports of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies and Mission Brain. This is a very important step in our quest to setup a neurosurgical service in the country. With the ongoing training of 37 nurses in neurosurgical nursing and commitment of the MoH to procuring a CT scan for Connaught and upgrading one of the theater suites for neurosurgery, we are moving in that direction. Congratulations to our department for this important milestone!
