The Mission of Deeds was formed in 1993 by Anthony (Tony) Triglione, a successful businessman and resident of Winchester, Massachusetts. Mr. Triglione was haunted by images of children and their mothers, some living in affluent communities including his town, who were sleeping on floors and eating on milk crates because they could not afford to buy beds, tables, chairs, and other necessities. Determined to improve the quality of life for these and other families, Mr. Triglione formed Mission of Deeds for one single purpose -- to ensure that they would have a place to go for help at a time in their lives when they need it most. Soon after he formed the Mission of Deeds, word quickly spread among Mr. Triglione’s friends and business associates who shared his goal of making a difference in the lives of needy individuals and families. With a shared commitment and vision, the founding members of the Mission of Deeds launched a campaign to generate awareness of the new organization. Over time the response was overwhelming as hundreds of people from surrounding communities offered to donate money, furniture, blankets, sheets, lamps, and various kitchen items. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our supporters, the Mission of Deeds has been able to help thousands of families and fulfill Mr. Triglione’s vision of providing a better life for people in need.

So proud of our collaboration with Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School
Build-a-Bureau, a program in which Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School's carpentry class is creating furniture for transitioning shelter children, was designated 1 of 12 best PR programs nationwide by the Apex Awards. Of the 93 submissions, it was the only program run by high school students.?They were surprised with certificates and a breakfast made by the culinary class. Thank you to our co-sponsor Camber Development and Mission Of Deeds who is distributing the bureaus.?These students demonstrate how vocational schools are an excellent source for talent and leadership training.

We are also #hiring a part-time Phone Desk Operator. Job description is below. This person will work in conjunction with our Communication Coordinators in managing inbound calls from donors and clients as well as reviewing a shared Outlook inbox. The ideal candidate will be available two (2) days a week for four (4) hours per day. No weekends. This is an on-site role. Key Responsibilities: -Handle inbound calls in tandem with Communications Coordinator. Schedule furniture pickups and client appointments. We receive a high call volume. -Review incoming client referrals. You may need to follow-up with the referrer. -Data entry required but minimal. Input client appointment information into a database. -Write tax receipts for furniture pickups and make pickup confirmation calls
