I founded Mission Fulfilled 2030 to bridge opportunity gaps and create pathways in tech for young Black men, ages 11-22, aiming to inspire, educate, and activate them to reach their fullest potential in STEM fields. Our mission is currently thriving in both Washington, DC, and Rochester, NY. Mission Fulfilled 2030 is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and inspiring at-risk boys from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities to pursue careers in STEM fields. By creating educational and economic opportunities, the organization seeks to close the gap in the representation of Black men in the STEM workforce, which currently stands at less than 5%. With a focus on providing mentorship, resources, and support, Mission Fulfilled 2030 is committed to creating a more equitable future for young boys of color. The social impact of Mission Fulfilled 2030 is significant, as it addresses a critical need in our society to increase diversity and representation in STEM fields. With the growing demand for technology and digital skills in the workforce, it is crucial that all young people have access to the educational and economic opportunities necessary to succeed in these fields. Unfortunately, for at-risk boys from BIPOC communities, there are many barriers to success, including limited access to resources, lack of mentorship, and systemic discrimination. By providing hands-on training, mentorship, and access to resources, Mission Fulfilled 2030 is working to break down these barriers and empower young boys of color to pursue careers in STEM fields. Through programs such as the Youth Tech Entrepreneurs Program, the organization is providing a pathway for young boys to develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the digital age. With a focus on at-risk boys from BIPOC communities, the organization is helping to close the gap in representation in the STEM workforce and create a more equitable future for all.

This successful Mission Fulfilled 2030, Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) partnership planted the entreprenurial seed in these young middle school entrepreneurs. Every parent in this cohort has requested followup programming.
Last week, the NFTE Capital Region wrapped up a one-week STEM BizCamp! Eight young entrepreneurs spent the week at Frederick Douglass Elementary School in Leesburg, VA, to explore the world of business and technology. In collaboration with Mission Fulfilled 2030, this BizCamp offered a blend of entrepreneurship curriculum and app-building skills. Students learned how to transform their innovative ideas into viable business plans, setting the foundation for future success!
