Are we even ready for this?
Social workers have countless transferrable skills, yet when we make the shift to incorporate tech, we must turn to each other and groups like Therapists in Tech to find information, training, job, and networking opportunities that allow us to maximize all of our transferable skills.
With over 10,000 behavioral health apps available, tech is transforming care. Yet the last time the National Association of Social Workers updated their Clinical Social Work Practice Tools on Technology was in 2020.
Nothing has changed since then, right?
Social workers don't need to work for software companies to make an impact--we have essential roles everywhere in our community. Our work is part of a social safety net, and while technology can certainly enhance our efforts, it shouldn’t limit us to any single field. Instead, it should support and strengthen our practice wherever it’s needed.
