Our Passion and Purpose are to DISRUPT the school-to-prison pipeline throughout the Greater Denver Metro Area.
关于我们
Mirror Image Arts utilizes interactive theatre, positive youth development, and trauma-informed and restorative approaches. We work with youth (ages 7-21) in schools and juvenile detention centers. Our work aims to give youth access to the arts while opening spaces to express themselves through play, imagination, and dialogue. To feel valued, seen, and heard. To be experts in their own lives and have the opportunity to make mistakes and come back stronger. To practice their resilience and their potential.

With Colorado ranked 17th in youth incarceration rates nationwide, the need for compassionate reintegration services has never been more urgent. Lara Love Hardin is a literary agent, author, and president of True Literary, a full-service boutique literary agency. After being convicted of 32 felonies, she quickly learns that jail is a class system, finding the rules and bringing love and healing to her fellow inmates as she climbs the social ladder. In her book and inspirational talks, Hardin shares her heartbreaking and tender journey from shame to redemption, despite a system that makes it almost impossible for us to move beyond the worst thing we have ever done.

2024 was a year of transformation, resilience, and deep connection. Through every program, conversation, and moment of learning, we were reminded of the powerful impact access to Restorative Theatre has. Through Restorative Theatre we held space for youth navigating punitive systems, and in that space youth experienced healing, belonging, and transformation. #YouthEmpowerment?#BrighterFuture?#MentalHealthMatters?#CommunityImpact
