The journey of a dollar ?? When a donation is made to MiracleFeet it supports clubfoot treatment across 37 countries. We use a bottom-up approach to provide the support that clinics in low-income countries need to deliver high-quality clubfoot treatment. A donation means: ?? providing casting supplies ?? distributing foot abduction braces ?? training healthcare workers ?? hiring parent educators ?? executing clubfoot awareness campaigns ?? adding more clinics to reduce travel time for families ?? securing support from the Ministry of Health to integrate care And more! ?? Today is World Birth Defects Day. Each year, we join organizations like Operation Smile, Saxony-Anhalt Malformation Monitoring Centre, MiracleFeet, and Global ARCH, in raising awareness for the 1 in 33 babies born with a birth defect each year in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Birth defects (also called congenital conditions or birth differences) include congenital heart defects, cleft lip and cleft palate, club foot and spina bifida. #?? We envision a world where every person with a congenital condition not only survives but thrives. 27 students from the INSEAD MBA’25J cohort spent an incredible week in Kathmandu, Nepal, contributing to the third Business as a Force for Good (BFG) Practicum with MiracleFeet! Their journey kicked off with an insightful panel with alumni and experts from public and private healthcare sectors, followed by visits to patients receiving life-changing clubfoot treatment, and HRDC—Nepal’s only hospital dedicated to treating and rehabilitating children with disabilities. Students gained firsthand insights into the intersection of healthcare, NGOs, and business in South Asia. Through in-depth collaboration with MiracleFeet’s NGO partners—in Pakistan, Philippines, and Nepal—students developed actionable recommendations to: ? Engage Nepalese government authorities in strategic initiatives ? Bridge disparities in treatment access across the Philippines ? Improve treatment adherence in urban settings, enhance cost-effectiveness, and scale-up efforts in Pakistan This wouldn’t have been possible without the invaluable support of Sneha Shrestha over the last several months and for bringing together an exceptional panel: Sangeeta Mishra, Dr. Anil Shrestha, Keshav Nepal, and Sneha herself.
