Seventeen-year-old Amanda is one of only 32 people in the world living with an ultra-rare form of epilepsy. For years, unpredictable seizures kept her homebound—but thanks to specialized treatments and 25 Miracle Flights, her life has transformed. After years of struggle, Amanda returned to in-person school in 5th grade. Now, she’s a thriving 11th grader, on track to graduate next year! Not only has she overcome epilepsy, but she also battled scoliosis—successfully undergoing back surgery at UCSF. Her mom proudly shares, “Her rods are holding up beautifully.” Seizure-free for two years, Amanda’s future is bright, filled with possibility and hope. While there’s no cure for CHD2 yet, she’s proving nothing can hold her back. With Miracle Flights by her side, she’s flying toward a future without limits!
