Miracle Babies is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides transportation, mental health assistance and supportive services to parents with hospitalized newborns in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) and Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICUs) in the Southern California region. Miracle Babies programs assist parents in the following ways: ? Transportation services - Our Special Delivery shuttle vans provide a home-to-hospital-to-home service enabling new parents to be united with their newborn. Miracle Babies works closely with hospital social workers to ensure NICU parents have access to their newborns addressing inequities for low-income parents through free access to transportation. ? Miracle Hours provides a unique opportunity for parents to get together, share concerns and feel the support of peers who understand the intricacies and challenges of having a baby in the NICU. Often these parents struggle with feelings of isolation, causing anxiety and depression at the precise time their baby needs them most. ? MB Cares packages containing essential items and resource materials to aid and comfort families during their baby’s NICU stay. Contents are intended to support parents who spend considerable time in the NICU performing kangaroo care (skin to skin bonding) and breastfeeding. ? Mental Health Assistance – Our My Brain & My Baby program provide individual and group therapeutic counseling by mental health clinicians via telemedicine. Through our programs, we seek to improve health and mental well-being and address inequities for parents through free access to transportation, supportive services, and resources.

Congratulations Valery! Valery Was the conduit in connecting Miracle Babies to the San Diego Food Bank! Thanks to Valery and the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank we have distributed over 1.5 million diapers to 15K families over the past three years.
Congratulations to Valery, our Employee of the Month for the month of December! ?? In her role as Food Rescue Coordinator, Valery coordinates driver donation pick-ups, red barrel distributions, tracks monthly Fresh Rescue agency reports and answers a multitude of inquiries from existing and new donors. "I enjoy working at the Food Bank because every day, in interacting with agencies and donors, I am able to see the profound impact we are making in the community as far as helping individuals in need of not only food but diapers, the school-based programs, and the senior program," Valery explains. "With food drives, I love interacting with all of the different companies that host food drives and want to partner with the Food Bank. And when people drop off donations in person, it is so rewarding to see the joy on their face that they are able to contribute, even if it’s a small amount!" ?? Valery's co-workers nominated her for her strong work ethic stating, "Valery’s work ethic deserves praise year-round, but she especially deserves it for her incredible efforts during our busy Holiday Food Drive season."
