Example: New York City Director Job Description Location: New York City Position Type: Leadership Role (Part or Full Time) Role Overview: The New York City Director will represent MIPAD within the city, leading local initiatives, coordinating in-city events, and fostering connections between visiting MIPADians and the local community. This role is ideal for a motivated and organized individual passionate about community building and promoting African Diaspora and excellence. Key Responsibilities: 1. Selection Committee Participation ? Review nominations and identify qualified individuals for recognition. ? Collaborate with MIPAD global leadership to represent NYC-based talent and initiatives. 2. Event Organization and Coordination ? Plan and execute local events aligned with MIPAD’s mission. ? Manage event logistics, partnerships, and outreach efforts. 3. Engage with Visiting MIPADians ? Facilitate connections and support for visiting MIPAD members and honorees. ? Organize networking and engagement activities to strengthen relationships within the MIPAD network. 4. Youth Engagement & Coordination ? Serve as a point of contact for Gen Z and Next-Gen leaders within the community. ? Coordinate youth-focused events to empower the next generation of leaders. Qualifications: ? Strong leadership and organizational skills with a proven track record in event planning. ? Excellent communication and networking abilities. ?
