While the weight of creator influence in travel planning is notable, it still drags in influence behind that of friends and family (67% vs 72%). What if we combined these two sources for a holistic travel discovery resource amongst tastemakers, both creators and general users alike? I imagine it as a social graph of verified information backed by lived experience, where travelers 'own' their recs and earn a piece of the value generated by each conversion it drives. In this way, creators could redeem value from their recs independent of brand partnerships, while our travel-savvy friends could get their proper shake for their valuable recs given to us and others. This is the incentive alignment in web3 that excites me, and it's the basis for everything we're building for travel recommendation discovery at MintPass. PhocusWire
