The Wyn Carr House project in Fremantle, Western Australia, highlights the benefits of the private sector, government and the not-for-profit sector working together and the incredible impact of pro bono work in tackling Australia’s housing crisis and driving meaningful change. With well over $1m worth of support provided to date, and committed from 30 private business and organisations in the form of pro bono professional services and donated building materials and other goods, as well as $7 million in government funding, we have helped to unlock the redevelopment potential of an otherwise unused historic building into respectful transitional housing for women over 55 facing homelessness.?Project owners, UnitingWA, will provide expert wrap-around services for future residents. The MinterEllison team led by Lee Rossetto, Alex Lowe and Alex H. are proud to have played a role by providing significant pro bono legal support throughout the project and also proud to be working with so many of our industry colleagues at the same time: https://lnkd.in/gZTtzzY8
