The local Minsi Trails Council, BSA serves nearly 6,100 youth through the leadership of 3,800 adult volunteers. The Council provides programs to youth throughout the Anthracite Region, Pocono Mountains and Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania along with western New Jersey and serves six-counties: Lehigh, Northampton, Monroe, Carbon, Luzerne, and Warren counties. The local Scouting heritage dates back 109 years to 1910 when the council’s first Scout troops were established in Allentown and Easton areas. The Minsi Trails Council has three Scout Camps located in the Pocono Mountains: Akelaland Cub Scout Camp and Settlers Camp at Trexler Scout Reservation in Jonas, PA and Camp Minsi in Pocono Summit, PA. Combined, these camps serve more than 5,000 campers annually.

We had an awesome night honoring B. Braun Medical Inc. (US) Chairman Jean-Claude Dubacher, and Victaulic President & CEO Dr. Rick Bucher at the Minsi Trails Council Lehigh Valley Leadership Dinner tonight. More than 250 people attended, and together we raised over $230,000 to support Scouting programs. What a night!

Great job by the Camp Minsi staff this summer!
I had the privilege of working with this great camp staff at Camp Minsi this summer. Every Tuesday when I would attend the leaders meeting they would get nothing but positive comments. They really made Camp Minsi a memorable experience for approximately 1300 youth and over 500 adults.
We are excited to announce that Vincent Polakowski will be joining us as District Director for Northampton and Warren Counties, starting July 16th! Please join us in welcoming Vincent to Minsi Trails Council!
