We just had an anniversary that went unnoticed by our entire staff, until today.?Our limited energy systems installer program became official with the state of Minnesota just over 25 years ago. As one of, if not the, longest running limited energy systems apprenticeship programs in the nation we have led the way in our field and we are proud of what this program has become in the last two and a half decades. Since 1999 the different systems that we train folks on have completely changed with many of them evolving completely several times over that period.?How have we managed to stay relevant in a field that has undergone so much change over the years??In all of those years there is only one thing that we haven’t changed, and that is our central philosophy.?We strive every day to provide our students with the foundational education that will help them to provide maximum value in the industry.?Beyond that, nothing is constant and nothing we teach today is guaranteed a place in the curriculum next year. We would also like to say thank you NECA and the IBEW for your support over the years and for believing in the mission of our organization.?Most of all we would like to thank the thousands of former apprentices for allowing us the privilege of helping you along your journey.?With everyone’s continued support we will continue to provide the training that our IBEW members deserve and our NECA contractors require to not only compete but thrive for the next 25 years and beyond.

Building the Future of Electronic Access Control, One Connection at a Time. Our Duluth Limited Energy apprentices are getting real-world experience with hands-on labs that go beyond textbooks and theory. They’re actively working with the tools and technologies that power modern electronic access control systems, developing practical skills that will benefit them in their future careers. It’s amazing to watch them grow with each new project, and we can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make in the field. Thank you to all the hardworking apprentices and mentors at Duluth. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the River Valleys Girl Scouts for allowing us to participate in Power Girls Electrical Day. Engaging in youth outreach is a valuable way to recruit underrepresented people into the trades, and we are grateful for the opportunity to inspire and empower the next generation of talented individuals.

Working safely with electricity, even limited energy, especially during busy times, is crucial to prevent accidents, injuries, and fatalities. Electrical hazards can lead to shocks, burns, or even fires if proper precautions aren't taken. Following safety protocols ensures a secure work environment, minimizing downtime and costly repairs. Staying vigilant and adhering to safety standards protects workers' well-being and maintains productivity, ensuring that everyone returns home safely at the end of the day.
