Looking back on 2024, we celebrated a year of milestones and the support of our generous community: ??We celebrated 50 years. Since 1974, we've been making an impact. ??We engaged with the community through collaborations with MPR, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal (MSPBJ), and the Guthrie Theater, showcasing the impact of donor-advised funds. ??MN JCF sponsored 11 Jewish community events, supporting organizations like Amos and Celia Heilicher Minneapolis Jewish Day School, Herzl Camp, JCRC, Jewish Family and Children's Service of Minneapolis, Sha'arim + Gateways , Minnesota Hillel, Six Points Theater, and Minneapolis Jewish Federation. ??We reintroduced and renamed the Frank Trestman Memorial Tikkun Olam Award, honoring those who make a lasting impact on Jewish planned giving and exemplify the values of tikkun olam. Thank you for your ongoing support. We wish you and your loved ones a joyful, healthy, and prosperous 2025!

It’s not too late to open a donor-advised fund (DAF)! DAFs are an easy, tax-friendly way to donate money or assets, get a deduction, and support causes you care about.?

A tree often symbolizes growth and stability, embodying life, wisdom, unity, connection, and peace. It also serves as a metaphor for planting something today that future generations will benefit from and cherish. MN JCF’s logo features this significant image, reflecting the core of our mission and work. This year, in celebration of our 50 years, we planted trees on the Barry Family Campus as a birthday gift from MN JCF to the community. We hope future generations will enjoy the beauty and shade these trees provide and reflect on the legacy of this community.

On Sunday, May 26, 2024, participants of the Partnership2Gether Rehovot - Minneapolis exchange trip came together to plant 27 trees in Rehovot’s city park. These trees and special plaque memorialize 27 fallen soldiers from Rehovot who died in the 10/7 war to date. While difficult, this initiative beautifies the environment, honors their service, and continues the amazing partnership between the Minneapolis Jewish Federation and its sister city, Rehovot.
