Sustainability enthusiast Bill Wernz helped raise $165,000 for solar panels in two affordable housing complexes last year. ?? How? By giving (and urging others to give) through the Minnesota State Housing Tax Credit Program. ?? There's still time to take advantage this year. ? Taxpayers can donate by Dec. 6 and receive an 85% tax credit for their contribution. (That means $1,000 toward a project you care about for just $150 when all is said and done!)
