To maximize philanthropy throughout Minnesota for the public good.
关于我们
The Minnesota Gift Planning Association (MGPA) was founded in 1978 to meet the specialized needs of planned giving professionals. Our membership is composed of a dynamic and diverse group of planned giving and general development professionals from academic, religious, health, arts, and human service organizations, as well as allied professionals such as attorneys, accountants, financial planners, and others. In 2020 the association embarked on a name change. They are formerly known as the highly-regarded Minnesota Planned Giving Council (MPGC). Mission To maximize philanthropy throughout Minnesota for the public good by providing education and programming that advances the knowledge and value of gift planning.

Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation | Inspiring Generosity, Advocating for Equity and Investing in Community-Led Solutions
I'm thrilled to share an exciting opportunity! My fellow AFP Leadership Institute cohort member, Noel Martin Rubio, along with other members of AFP Global's Asian Pacific Islander Affinity Group, will be joining the "Difficult Donor Conversations as Fundraisers of Color" panel on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. PST/2 p.m. EST. This event is free to attend. REGISTER here for the Zoom access link: [https://lnkd.in/eT3MXdan). As fundraisers of color, navigating difficult conversations with donors is both an art and a challenge. Join this panel during Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month for an insightful and honest discussion on the complexities and nuances of these interactions. In this engaging session, the panelists will share their lived experiences, strategies, and personal anecdotes on handling tough conversations with donors. From addressing cultural barriers to overcoming implicit biases, they'll explore practical tips for building rapport, fostering understanding, and ultimately achieving fundraising success. Whether you're a seasoned fundraiser or new to the field, this affinity group gathering offers actionable advice for anyone looking to navigate donor conversations with confidence and authenticity, particularly within the context of API heritage. Don't miss out on this valuable opportunity!
