Veterans Day at the Minneapolis Veterans Home was a time to gather and honor our Veterans. The West Point Glee Club began the day with a performance, setting a patriotic tone for Residents, families and friends who gathered outside for a parade of decorated cars! The Klondike Kates also entertained the crowd by singing the Armed Forces Medley. Back inside the Home, Residents enjoyed a delicious ribeye lunch, courtesy of Classic Corvettes of Minnesota - Vettes for Vets. The day concluded with a Veterans Day program featuring special guests: Governor Walz, representatives from Senator Klobuchar’s office, MDVA Commissioner Brad Lindsay, Deputy Commissioner of Healthcare Eric Meittunen and guest speaker VFW State Commander David Staehlin. A big thank you to the 7th District VFW for always sponsoring this day and their support throughout the year.
