We're excited to start the new year with a meaningful training opportunity with the Minnesota Department of Health on Changing the Narrative on Suicide and Mental. This training will explore how professionals and community members can shift their perspectives, reduce stigma, promote help-seeking, be equipped with the right tools to foster healthy conversations about mental health and suicide, and create a supportive environment for those in need. CACs take a team approach to supporting families every step of the way. Advocates connect families to resources such as mental health support and safe housing and help them navigate the often confusing, legal process. Scholarships are available for 20 providers to complete training and certification in Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Our focus is on practitioners employed by mental health agencies in Greater Minnesota and communities that have been historically underserved and underrepresented in child abuse response efforts (e.g., BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, disabled, and other marginalized groups).
