We're thrilled to announce that we're teaming up with the California Governor’s Advisory Council on Physical Fitness and Mental Well-being for the 25x25 California Coaches Challenge! The mission is to train 25,000 youth coaches in CA by 2025 to revolutionize youth sports across the state. As part of the Council’s Move Your Body, Calm Your Mind Campaign, the Governor’s Council is collaborating with MCC partners Positive Coaching Alliance and Center for Healing and Justice through Sport to lead a statewide effort to promote positive youth development, social-emotional learning, and healing-centered practices among youth coaches. American Institutes for Research will provide research support for the initiative. LiFEsports and the Ohio High School Athletic Association are excited to announce the creation and first meeting of the Coach Beyond Youth Sport Committee. This collaborative team will work together to inform the work of Coach Beyond as we partner with the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS) to bring our coach trainings to youth coaches across Ohio. This Youth Sport Committee will represent leaders from across the state, offering their perspectives and insights into the current opportunities and challenges to improve youth sports, with a particular emphasis on supporting coaches. #milloncoacheschallenge
