Last week's devastating impact of Hurricane Milton on Floridan communities included over 18 inches of rain and winds exceeding 100 miles per hour. The storm has wreaked havoc, unleashing 12 tornadoes in just 20 minutes and resulting in the tragic deaths of four residents in a retirement village. In the wake of this disaster, many are facing overwhelming challenges, especially following the recent destruction caused by Hurricane Helene. The cumulative effects of these two storms have left many families and individuals in dire need of support. Here are some local charities that are actively providing assistance to victims of both, Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene.
