We started the week on a site walk with COMSTOCK PUBLIC SCHOOLS' High School Innovation Institute's juniors and seniors! ??♀???♂? We discussed the environmental impact of construction and how we work to protect air quality, waterways, stormwater, natural resources, wildlife, and more. These Integrated Sustainability students will use what they learned on the walk for their upcoming environmental study reports. ?? ?? Some of our staff stepped away from the power tools, schematics, number crunching and project supervision to bag 8 pallets of apples for community distribution. Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes utilizes the help of 200-300 volunteers WEEKLY to serve 750 people per day and they turn every $1 donated into enough groceries for three full meals. ??
