Managing waste from chromatography operations at the end of their use includes disposing of solid materials, such as stationary phase media. We have published a blog on end-of-life management of two types of stationary phase media: the common Silica C18 and our NanoPak-C graphitic carbon chromatography media. SiC18 media waste management adheres to the principles of a linear economy, where products are produced, utilized, and eventually disposed of. The end-of-life management of NanoPak-C all carbon microbeads emphasizes sustainable waste management and supports a circular economy. The graphitic carbon media can be reclaimed, recycled, and reused for chromatography and other applications. https://lnkd.in/dGdAip-W

We have published a blog that explains how our all-carbon graphitic stationary phase media is different from silica-C18 and other alkyl-bonded silica phases. It details the reasons for these differences in selectivity. Key points include: - The selectivity of all-carbon graphitic stationary phase media differs significantly from that of silica-C18 and other alkyl-bonded silica-based stationary phases. This variation is primarily influenced by how the stationary phase interacts with different analytes. - While both all-carbon and other graphitic carbon stationary phases share similarities due to their graphitic characteristics (such as π-π interactions), introduction of unique crosslinker in all-carbon media could modify selectivity. This crosslinker can introduce specific interactions with analytes, enabling tailored selectivity. - When dealing with complex mixtures in chromatography, it is essential to utilize diverse stationary phases. All-carbon media can be customized to meet the evolving demands for different chemistries and selectivities across a wide range of organic compounds and biomolecules. https://lnkd.in/dsG7FWPf

Flash chromatography is an effective tool for peptide purification, especially as a pre-purification or cleanup step. While flash chromatography and preparative HPLC share similar principles, they differ in scale, efficiency, and application. We have published a blog that elaborates on these differences in flash chromatography and preparative HPLC. We further explain how flash purification could be a robust and efficient front-end purification step, optimizing the subsequent preparative HPLC process for peptide isolation. https://lnkd.in/d2_yyQ5n
