The rear porch at our Lake Placid project is a standout feature that offers a seamless transition between indoor comfort and the stunning outdoor scenery of Lake Placid. Built with large timber framing and natural cedar finishes, this porch is designed to provide a cozy, enclosed space for nearly year-round enjoyment. The screened design ensures unobstructed river and woodland views while keeping the elements at bay, making it perfect for relaxing during any season. The stone foundation enhances the porch’s durability and blends harmoniously with the home's natural stone exterior. This structural and aesthetic choice anchors the porch firmly into the landscape, complementing the Adirondack surroundings. We had the privilege of transforming a prime Rittenhouse Square apartment in the oldest residential high-rise building on the park. We exposed the original structure and reworked the layout to create interconnected living spaces that maximize views. Antique cabinetry, scagliola, Venetian plaster, and reclaimed wood flooring bring timeless elegance, while we restored original elements like the marble mosaic lobby floor and glazed triangular arch windows that had been filled in with solid panels. The design seamlessly integrates modern systems, preserves the building’s history, and offers modern comfort. We designed this Main Line home to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings. We're excited to share some before and during construction photos of this 26th-floor unit in the iconic Society Hill Towers, designed by the legendary architect I.M. Pei. Originally built in the 1960s, these towers were the first high-rise condominiums to change the Philadelphia skyline, and they've held their historic charm ever since. Listed on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places, they offer breathtaking north and east views over the Delaware River and Olde City. Our renovation project focuses on modernizing this 1,900 sq ft unit, turning it from a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom space into a more functional 3-bedroom home with enlarged and redesigned bathrooms and an open-concept kitchen and dining area. While respecting the original architecture, we’ve carefully worked around existing concrete slabs, plumbing stacks, gas risers, and HVAC systems, preserving the building's integrity. From stunning new wood flooring to stylish lighting and cabinetry, every choice has been made to enhance both functionality and aesthetics while staying true to the historical essence of this mid-century masterpiece.
