Springing forward for Daylight Saving Time brings us all more ??????! Unfortunately the time change can also bring sleep disturbances. Sleep troubles are among the most common issues for autistic individuals and their families, and can include trouble falling asleep, waking up in the middle of the night, and waking up early. Throw in a time change and the problem can be exacerbated. The Milestones Sleep Tool Kit can help with strategies for developing and keeping a sleep routine, identifying triggers, and how to know when to seek expert guidance. On this International Women's Day, we would like to take a moment to acknowledge the many women who have been champions in the autism community, through advocacy, research, support, and caregiving. Did you know that adult women are among the fastest growing population of new autism diagnoses? According to studies at the National Institute of Health, up to 80 percent of autistic females remain undiagnosed at age 18, which has serious consequences for the mental health of young women. For more information on adult diagnosis, check out our Adult Diagnosis Toolkit at https://lnkd.in/dcfHiw5M. #internationalwomensday?#autisticwomen?#autism?#autistic #autisminwomen?#autismingirls?#autisticandfemale #femalefounders

Milestones Autism Resources is proud to be playing a major role in the implementation of the new Ohio Individual Service Plan (OhioISP) template through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. The OhioISP was designed with the goal of standardizing all DD service plans throughout the state, creating greater ease for transition of services from county to county. But it also raises the bar for service providers by creating a more person-centered approach to care. That's where our Director of Education, Bradley Wyner, comes in. Check out the full story in our blog at https://lnkd.in/ePjEVnsM #ohioisp #dodd #milestones #autismresources #individualserviceplan
