?? At Milestones, we don’t just bring Trauma-Informed Trainings to you—we invest in them for our own team too! Today, we had the privilege of learning from Reinhild Boehme, LISW-S, a dedicated educator, trauma-informed care advocate, and one of our featured ConneXtion speakers. As an Assistant College Lecturer at Cleveland State University School of Social Work, Reinhild brings a wealth of knowledge, lived experience, and expertise to the conversation. Ongoing education like this ensures we’re providing the best possible support to the autism community—because learning never stops, and neither does our commitment. picture 1: Shows the first slide of Reinhild's presentation and reads "The Care of Ourselves: Being Well, Stay Well while Helping Others", picture 2: a picture of Reinhild Boehme introducing herself to our staff, picture 3: Milestones Director of Education Bradley Wyner, NADD-DDS snuggling one of the squishmellows in the room. #TraumaInformedCare #MilestonesMatters #ConneXtion2025 #LifelongLearning

Springing forward for Daylight Saving Time brings us all more ??????! Unfortunately the time change can also bring sleep disturbances. Sleep troubles are among the most common issues for autistic individuals and their families, and can include trouble falling asleep, waking up in the middle of the night, and waking up early. Throw in a time change and the problem can be exacerbated. The Milestones Sleep Tool Kit can help with strategies for developing and keeping a sleep routine, identifying triggers, and how to know when to seek expert guidance. On this International Women's Day, we would like to take a moment to acknowledge the many women who have been champions in the autism community, through advocacy, research, support, and caregiving. Did you know that adult women are among the fastest growing population of new autism diagnoses? According to studies at the National Institute of Health, up to 80 percent of autistic females remain undiagnosed at age 18, which has serious consequences for the mental health of young women. For more information on adult diagnosis, check out our Adult Diagnosis Toolkit at https://lnkd.in/dcfHiw5M. #internationalwomensday?#autisticwomen?#autism?#autistic #autisminwomen?#autismingirls?#autisticandfemale #femalefounders
