The St. Joseph statue has been brought back out of storage with a meaningful backstory at St. Ed’s High School. The St. Joseph statue was a historic piece that brought luck as the St. Ed’s football players went out for their games. ?? Alumni would touch the statue before their games dating back to when the founding brothers ran the school. Our team had the honor of restoring this statue and creating a granite memorial plaque in the courtyard just in time for football season! Go Eagles!

Black granite pillars were created for the Jewish Veterans Memorial at Zion Cemetery. These pillars feature the names of both veterans and donors, recognizing their contributions to this lasting tribute. Flooring will also be included in this outdoor roundabout to serve as a reminder to the community. We’re excited to see this project come together as the final touches are completed soon!

The Milano Stone & Restoration team has officially restored 42 Veteran monuments at the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery! Here is a what the team accomplished: ??Repainted each monument by hand with lots of colors added ???Removed and reinstalled 23 foundations ??Cleaned and polished each headstone Many of these restorations had to take place off-site to ensure the best possible result to honor the veterans' monument posts on the walking path.

??New project update! We're restoring a cannon monument in Indiana’s Crown Hill Cemetery. This 1800s memorial honors the lives of 36 unknown soldiers who rest in the cemetery. These restorations include a fresh coat of paint to the cannon-turned-monument and a cleaning and waxing to the bronze plaque. The Milano Stone & Restoration team is restoring parts of Marion National Cemetery in Fort Wayne, Indiana! ?? We’ll be working on cleaning and waxing the bronze statues that serve as the cemetery’s main centerpiece. Here’s a look at our process ?? ?? Cleaning the statue and monument itself ?? Waxing the bronze men and cannon plaque ?? Repainting the shell from shipwreck ?? Restoring the sundial In addition to this monument, we will restore a bronze sundial in the cemetery. Two Padre Pio Statues from Italy were successfully installed at Holy Trinity Church and Saint Eugene’s Church! ?? These statues were roughly seven feet tall and had to be uncrated from their original packaging before getting reconstructed onto their three-foot pedestals inside of the church. Using a rig that was custom-built inside each church, the Milano Stone & Restoration team successfully assembled each piece of these statues into place at both churches.

The Milano Stone & Restoration team recently restored the bronze doors of the Wolstein #mausoleum, located in Mayfield Cemetery! Here’s the full story. ?? To prevent the door from patinating, the team applied a wax oil specific to #bronze memorials to the entire surface of the door. This works as a type of conditioner that we will apply each year to maintain the shiny appearance of the door and protect it from any sort of damage. In these pictures, you can see the difference between the original and freshly restored doors (especially in the ornate handles).
