  • Sue Gilbertson, our founder, was a mother who felt unheard and unsupported when her son Eric was diagnosed with a mental illness. One mother's passion now serves as a lifeline for families across our community. • Sue Gilbertson founded M.I.K.I.D. through grassroots efforts on March 11, 1987, with a mission to address the critical gap in services available to children facing mental health challenges. ?? ?? Sue set out to provide families with the tools, knowledge, and support they needed. From the beginning, our organization focused on a family-centered approach, understanding that a child's mental health journey impacts the whole family. ???????? ?? Photos show our first annual meeting. (Sue is in the solid blue top.) ?? Click the link below to learn more about who we are. https://bit.ly/3ZCkrXs
