Healthcare, Finance, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are increasingly intertwined in today's world. The interconnectedness among these fields has also brought to the fore opportunities and challenges that require a back-to-the-board approach for solution development and deployment. High throughput data capture across the research-care continuum, combined with novel computational techniques is expanding the set of afflictions that modern medicine can begin to understand mechanistically. Advancements in both medicine and AI are behind the vaulting ambition to transform precision medicine, shifting the focus from subpopulations to individual patients, tumors, and their microenvironments. AI-driven models are enabling financial institutions to predict market movements, optimize asset allocations, and manage risks effectively by analyzing historical data and real-time economic indicators. With the world’s largest government-sponsored healthcare program running in India, eliminating fraud, reducing low value care and improving healthcare value delivery may be some of the high priority goals for the country. Impactful innovation within the Healthcare-Finance-AI intersection requires that a number of difficult problems be addressed ab-initio. A general consensus around solutions that “do no harm” exists but practical guidance for innovators is evolving at a slower pace.
