Her presentation, “Beyond Socks and Plastic Wrap: Optimizing PICC Care with Garment and Waterproof Covers”, is based on insights from over 2,500 qualitative and quantitative data points submitted by patients and clinicians. Despite advancements in vascular access, many patients and clinicians continue to rely on outdated methods such as socks and plastic wrap. Emily's session will cover: ? The challenges in catheter securement ?The benefits of garment-based solutions and waterproof covers ?Strategies to improve patient outcomes and infection prevention As a former patient who once used a cut sock for her own PICC, Emily is passionate about advocating for more effective and innovative solutions. Just this morning we received a note from a patient on how the H2O Shield? helped keep her comfortable: "This is absolutely perfect! I have never finished a shower with any water leaking through this. That section of my arm stays completely dry.
