    Your fundraising dreams won’t make a difference. Nor will your strategy. Not without establishing internal routines to get it done. Because raising a lot of money requires two things: ?? ?????? ???? ?????? (????????????????) ? ???? ?????? ???? ????????     Donors don’t care as much as you. (About all the little details of your work.) Instead, remember that fundraising is “not for those who need to demonstrate their expertise and who think everyone else should be just as interested in their field as they are,” says Jeff Brooks. He continues with a telling example. ? “One of the great fundraising offers is the $1.79 meal. It’s a great offer because it’s specific, it’s something that’s in the life experience of your donor — and it’s cheap.” Many nonprofits that could use this simple fundraising message do much more than serve meals, Brooks says. “But donors want solid, simple, clear offers they can understand. Are you willing to say, ‘Sorry, Ms. Donor. We don’t want your money until you comprehend our programs in all their complex fullness.’” “That’s an expensive attitude. It’s one some nonprofits take.” Pride complicates. Clarity converts. Don’t impress. Inspire. ??????

    Global South leaders face a funding desert. 260,000 foundations — just 47 in Africa. And only 583 grantmaking institutions in India, none identified in Southeast Asia, with a mere 859 across Latin America. Meanwhile, 95% are based in Europe and North America. It’s “a hierarchy, within which the Global North does the giving, and the Global South mainly does the receiving,” says Ayo Adene. “... we are stuck in a premise loop, like a bad dream, in which the only solution is to wake up.” Swipe right to learn more.     A power move for your next pitch: Tell donors why the idea might ?????? work. This tactic does five things. ? 1?? Shows your humility vs. many boastful leaders 2?? Surprises donors positively (stories need suspense) 3?? Indicates that your idea is big enough to potentially fail 4?? Makes it hard to find objections, letting you share remedies 5?? Builds trust and shifts the pitch to a collaboration on solutions I used to admit to funders that MIGHTY ALLY was a crazy idea: a world-class brand agency like in the private sector for small nonprofits with limited budgets. ?????????????? ?????? ???????? ???????????????? ?????? ???? ?? ??????????????. “Going into an investor meeting with only the rainbows and puppies of your business means that you are setting yourself up for failure,” says Adam Grant. He continues on the Acumen Academy blog. “Acknowledge in your pitch that your idea is imperfect. Your investors might actually be convincing themselves that the problems you outlined are not so big.” Reveal risks. Raise the trust. Reap the rewards. ??????
