It was an incredible honor to attend this year’s Gathering of the Eagles conference with my fellow AGC officers! I am deeply grateful to the restoration industry professionals like Philip Traylor and Katrin Arp and so many others who took the time to share their knowledge and insights, helping me better understand this impactful field. A special thank you to Dr. Avilia for organizing such a meaningful event and to all the inspiring speakers who shared their expertise and perspectives on the future of restoration. AGC Middle TN Safety Director, Thomas Reed, successfully secured a grant-funded opportunity to offer FREE ATSSA training for Traffic Control Technician (TCT), Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS), and Flagger Instructor Training (FIT) to local AGC members. This initiative reinforces our commitment to enhancing the skills of safety professionals and strengthening the safety culture in Middle Tennessee!

At the 2024 annual AGC Clarksville Christmas Dinner we gave a fond farewell to our big cheese board member, Steve Smith with Vulcan Materials Company as he heads into retirement and back home to Wisconsin. We also welcomed our new Clarksville representative board member, Philip Hagewood with Moore Construction, to the board. A special thank you to Mayor Pitts for taking some time to speak to our members, The Emerald in Clarksville for a beautiful space and amazing dinner, and our sponsors ECS Group of Companies, Pavement Restorations, Inc., White Oak Creek Construction and Morgan Contractors, Inc.! A few members even went home with some door prizes from Santa! We look forward to next year's dinner!

Yesterday the AGC Construction Leadership Council hosted their annual Decoration & Donation day at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville. Thank you to these lovely volunteers that came out in chilly weather to bring some holiday cheer and help us present $20,000 raised at the 2024 #bbqinredshoes to support the mission of keeping families close!

This was an incredible panel and mixer last night at the Adventure Science Center. Thank you to our speakers for all sharing their economic development and leadership insight and the AGC Construction Leadership Council for putting it all together for our industry.

It was an honor to have the new Assistant Commissioner of TOSHA, Larry Hunt, out to our membership luncheon today to meet the membership and give us an update on important safety programs in Tennessee. AGC prides itself on the safety resources and community we offer to members. We also welcomed 5 new members: Mechanical Standard Plumbing, BrightView Landscapes Chef's Deal Restaurant Equipment Company Evolution Safety Resources and The David Group LLC.
