??Yesterday, the Boone County Chamber Red Coats joined Midland Power's board of directors in officially opening our new warehouse! The 10,500-square-foot facility is located at our Boone administrative office and replaces the warehouse we lost to a fire in 2023. The centralized location enables us to maintain robust inventories of critical materials and more efficiently distribute them to our four service centers. The new building also includes a mechanics bay, allowing for large equipment and truck repair.

?? Midland Power CEO Bill McKim was recently featured in Des Moines Area Community College's DMACC Magazine where he discussed the co-op's efforts to help foster the next generation of lineworkers. In addition to funding an annual scholarship at DMACC's electric utility technology program, Midland also funds scholarships at both Marshalltown Community College’s Powerline Technician program and Northwest Iowa Community College's Powerline Program. These scholarships are vital in helping area students develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become successful and safe lineworkers. A link to read the article is in the comments. ??
