On behalf of the entire Middlesex 3 Coalition community, we extend our heartfelt condolences on the unexpected passing of Greg Bialecki. Greg was a true leader in economic and real estate development in Massachusetts, known for his fairness, vision, and unwavering dedication. His impact was profound, not only in the work he did but in the way he inspired those around him. We are especially grateful for his instrumental role in founding the Coalition and for all the contributions he made to the growth and success of the Middlesex 3 region. Greg’s intelligence, kindness, and integrity will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working with him. Our thoughts and sympathy are with his family, friends, and all who knew him during this incredibly difficult time.

It’s Workforce Wednesday! Northeastern University Center for Research Innovation (CRI) in Town of Burlington, MA is launching a fully-funded training program to help individuals enter the life sciences field. Starting in December, this program will provide essential technical skills for lab technician roles in biotech manufacturing, with a special focus on those from historically underrepresented backgrounds. No prior science experience is necessary—just a strong commitment to the field and transferable skills. E Ink Corporation Announces Collaboration with Delvaux for Handbag Capsule at Paris Fashion Week! Delvaux has partnered with Billerica-based E Ink to create color-changing handbags using E Ink's innovative technology. The bags feature materials that shift colors with a button press and use minimal power. The purses, which debuted at Paris Fashion Week, will retail from $3,000 to $30,000 and are expected to launch next year. E Ink’s color technology will also appear in Amazon’s new $280 Kindle reader. The Municipal Energy Manager Grant, offered by Eversource Energy and National Grid, provides funding to municipalities to hire an energy manager. This role is designed to assist in managing energy use, improving efficiency, and reducing GHG emissions, particularly in K-12 schools.
