This past week Director, Taina Morales, Ed.D. , and financial aid administrator, Monica Maxwell attended the New Jersey Association of Financial Aid Administrators Fall Conference in Atlantic City ! NJASFAA’s Fall Conference is a wonderful opportunity for financial aid professionals to stay informed on state and federal regulations and connect with other professionals. We cannot wait to hear all of the insights and strategies gained at the conference. Get to Know the Middlesex College Financial Aid Team! Gabriela Abreu is a financial aid assistant and has been at Middlesex College for three years. Over these three years, she has awarded Community College Opportunity Grant (CCOG) funds, assisted students with Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeals, and guided students through the FAFSA completion process. Her passion for financial aid stems from a commitment to giving back to the community and supporting students as they navigate their educational journeys. She approaches her role at Middlesex College with passion and curiosity, and is always ready to learn and take on new challenges. In addition to her role at Middlesex College, Gabby is a second-year law student, where she aims to further her ability to advocate for underrepresented populations. In her free time, Gabby loves trying out new recipes in the kitchen, learning new languages, and seeking out new experiences. #FinancialAid #MiddlesexCollege
