What are the risks to adopting state-based assumptions about the Middle East? How are armed groups consolidating their influence and appropriating key segments of the economy? Together with the Atlantic Council and Atlantic Council Middle East Initiatives we convened a workshop at MEPS Forum 2024 to examine these questions and others.
