This week, the System Planning Committee of MISO's Board approved the MTEP24 transmission plan that includes LRTP Tranche 2.1 and JTIQ portfolios, moving one step closer to final approval. The $30 billion investment adds 488 projects and 5,053 miles of transmission. Yesterday, FERC approved Southwest Power Pool's and MISO’s filing on the Joint Targeted Interconnection Queue (JTIQ). MISO will now seek its Board approval in December. The five-project JTIQ Portfolio has an estimated value of $1.6 billion and will enable approximately 28 GW of generation to interconnect on the SPP-MISO seam.
