Over half of U.S. states now get more power from wind and solar than coal. In the PJM states where we are active, these include the states of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Virginia -

Earlier this week we joined American Clean Power Association (ACP) in Dover, Delaware to meet with legislators and the new Office of Delaware Governor Matt Meyer staff. The topic of conversation was solar siting reform and how #renewableenergy can mitigate recent electricity price hikes. PJM Interconnection recently?released?its new Effective Load Carrying Capacity or ELCC Asset Ratings for the 2026-2027 delivery year. These ratings will be applied to its upcoming Base Residual Auction (BRA), a competitive capacity auction designed to secure resources for the entire PJM region. Today MAREC Action is in Maryland for another lobby day. Our focus is on the #energystorage provisions of the Abundant Affordable Clean Energy Action (HB 398, SB316) Delegate Lorig Charkoudian and Senator Benjamin Brooks. Maryland has a robust pipeline of projects in the near term PJM queue that require a formal program (front-of-the-meter transmission connected storage program) to spur construction.
