Recently, the MidAmerican Energy Foundation had the opportunity to help fund a unique and creative project with Boys & Girls Clubs of Siouxland. The Active Arcade – a new space designed to boost youth's interest in fitness by combining it with video games – is helping build healthy habits for kids in the program. Our CARES crew also got to help with the remodel of the room. We are excited to see the lasting impact Active Arcade has on the community!

We are thrilled to announce that we have won Edison Electric Institute's Emergency Response Award in two categories for 2024 – Recovery and Assistance. We were recognized for our efforts in response to the many spring and summer storms, as well as the mutual assistance we provided for other severe thunderstorms in the Midwest and throughout Hurricane Helene. A big thank you to all who made this possible – from our front-line workers who answered the call to other team members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. We truly have the greatest team. ?

The holiday magic lives on as our co-workers continue giving their time and resources this season. This year, we took part in Operation Santa and Mentor Iowa's Adopt-a-Child, helping provide gifts to children in need. We are happy to announce we collected over $4,000 worth of gifts this month, ensuring that nearly 60 children will wake up to presents on Christmas morning. ????
