A little over a year ago we opened an ATAL Tinkering Lab with our impact partner, Learning Links Foundation in Ahmedabad, India. In January, our team members, Moira Dawa and Rachael Fullinwider stopped by for a tour with school leaders and Khamroddin Mohammed, PMP? to meet the faculty, experience the lab and most importantly, learn about the innovations that the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyala students have been working on! Needless to say, these kids are slated to change the world ??! With projects focused on wildfire abatement, flooding, sustainability and more, they are solving real world challenges (& creating competition-winning experiments) with STEM in their ATAL lab! Follow Learning Links Foundation to learn more about their work and to see how these students are leading the way in science competitions and STEM fairs! Check it out ?? #STEMeducation #MicronGives

Happy #InternationalWomensDay! Our head of APAC/EMEA social impact, Antara Lahiri, highlights some of our efforts to educate women and empower them to pursue technology careers around the world. Together with these amazing organizations (and many more) we celebrate and honor the unbridled potential of women in STEM! Check out her post and give our partners a follow to see more of the amazing impact they are making! #IWD #MicronGives #STEMeducation

?? Together, we celebrate progress and strive together to make a difference on this International Women's Day. At Micron Foundation, we are committed to providing access to STEM education and careers for all. For International Women’s Day this year, I am thrilled to highlight our incredible partnerships across the globe that are making a real difference for girls and women who are traditionally under-represented in STEM. ?? In Japan: We teamed up with Girl Scouts of Japan to launch our first Chip Camp in 2023. Since then, we have been running programs, focused on STEM education and career pathways, opening doors for more girls to pursue STEM careers. Our new leaders handbook provides step-by-step guidance for hands-on stem learning, and special sessions increase awareness about semiconductor technology, including a clean room tour. Plus our engineers take great pride in mentoring the amazing girls, inspiring the next generation of tech leaders! ?? In Germany: The ReDI School of Digital Integration in Munich is providing digital skills training to women who have experienced migration. This training promotes personal and professional growth, foster social inclusion, and improves employability through mentoring. Our Micron volunteers are pitch pitching in by helping mentees navigate job and vocational training applications. ??In Taiwan: We have supported Taiwan Learning Development Association LIS情境科學教材(Learning in Science) in creating a hands-on STEM toolbox for junior high school classrooms and a stem exhibition that traveled to over 24 schools, including 10 in rural areas and remote islands reaching over 13,000 students. In 2024, our Taiwan Chip Camps evolved into Chip Classes, broadening the usage of teaching materials and providing more children from underserved communities with opportunities to experience hands-on science activities, and spark their interest in STEM. ??In Singapore: we are excited to support United Women Singapore who organized STEM camps for girls aged 12 to 17 from local secondary schools and community organizations. They also have a three month long mentorship program for girls 16 years and above. ?? In India: we are working with UN Women India to launch the WeSTEM program in Gujarat. This initiative is set to empower 1500 young women with future-ready skills, paving the way for them to pursue careers in STEM. We are proud to collaborate and support these organizations as we work to encourage the participation of women in the technology workforce and enable their economic empowerment to enrich life for all. #InternationalWomensDay #STEM #Genderequality #MicronGives #WomeninTech #IWD25 Rosita Najmi Moira Dawa Ivy Hung Georgette Tan Adamopoulos Madhavi Putcha Anupama Kannan Birgit Koebl Kanta Singh Suhela Khan Shaguna Gahilote

Happy #Engineersweek! Our Careers in a High-Tech world program was a massive success thanks to our team, Micron Technology volunteers and of course, the inquisitive and capable students! Exploring Micron and meeting our engineers creates a personal connection to potential careers for students from all over Idaho! We’re happy to be able to bring them to our headquarters, give them a glimpse into what it is like to be a semiconductor engineer! #STEMeducation #MicronGives Cathy Ammirati
Yesterday, Micron Foundation commemorated Engineers Week by hosting our Careers in a High-Tech World program with 100 high school students from across Southern Idaho at Micron Technology Headquarters in Boise, Idaho. The day kicked off with a welcome presentation that provided an overview of Micron, then the students divide into small groups with a Micron mentor that lead them on a tour of the site and shares about their career at Micron. After lunch, we moved into a round-robin of interactive stations. Students identified the career area(s) of interest in their registration. This allows them to matched with Micron professionals that align with their area of interest. Micron professionals served as mentors to the small groups to engage in discussion and the tour. Not only is this educational for the students, the Micron professionals are giving back to the community. Careers in a High-Tech World events enable students to learn all about the process of building #semiconductors, and specifically memory chips. The site tour included a window view of the R&D #cleanroom and students got to see many of the fabrication props up close. In the afternoon, students participated in a VR experience that took them inside the cleanroom. Our wonderful partner from Boise State University, Hailey Lynch, brought hands-on Semiconductor for All activities. Micron's Competitor Analysis team shared about their product teardown process. Students had the opportunity to learn from a panel of Micron professionals and professors from engineering programs at Idaho's universities. This day would not have been possible without the participation of dozens of Micron professionals volunteering their time to serve as mentors to the students and supporting various behind-the-scenes tasks. These photos show students engaged in interactive stations. We already heard back from one parent that their child "is now convinced he wants to be an engineer" after participating in our program. #Eweek2025 #STEMEducation #Engineering #Chemistry #Physics

We were honored to support a day of service in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the United Way of Central New York. Over 10,000 coats will go to those in need, extending the impact of this one day of volunteering to thousands of local community members.
Corporate Social Responsibility Professional/Social Impact/ Community Engagement/STEM Education | PhD in Science Education Research
Today, we witnessed the power of community and the spirit of service during the United Way Center New York’s MLK Day of Service, it was a privilege for the Micron Foundation to support a great event. Thanks to the leadership of Nancy Kern Eaton and the entire team at the United Way. Volunteers came together to serve the community, distributing over 10,000 coats throughout the Syracuse region, where the current temperature is a chilly 5 degrees!!Providing coats to those in need — men, women and children — is crucial for this area. This important work by community members highlights the signature of staying warm and safe. Truly, Martin Luther King’s vision in action. Great day with Joe Nehme, Melanie Littlejohn, Dr. Carlene L., Evelyn Camille Hoskins Ingram, Sharon F. Owens, Alexander Marion, Rachel May, Nancy Kern Eaton, Gwen Sanders, Chris Ryan, Salina Lazarus and so many other. Thank you for your time!!!
